It's kind of like an epic quizbowl festival, with Brookwood players, alumni, friends, family, etc. all helping out and I think a good number of current students serving as scorekeepers and timekeepers. A few specific pointers: Keep track of how long each room is taking, preferably on a chalk/whiteboard so that each moderator knows where they stand. If one room is consistently coming in slow, this gives them the option to speed up and if they don't you can replace them with someone else. You should...

Re: Harvard Fall Tournament in Georgia (12/5/09)
UGA used to host our Late Fall HS tournament on this date every year and we traditionally maxed out at around 24-27 teams because of, like you said, the SAT dates, the other big tournaments it's sandwiched between, etc. Getting at least 20, including a new to QB team, is a fine achievement. Wofford at UTC's mirror of MO '08 decided to leave during the middle of the tournament in style, negging 18 times and then leaving. This may well be the record for most negs by a single team. By not doing the standard single-elim playoff, you're already well ahead of the curve in Georgia, so props on that. However, it's important to consider that if you insist on doing 16 questions (which I think is really too short for a full QB round), they will not have a decent distribution of topics...
