I love bouncebacks because I believe quizbowl victories should be awarded to the teams that work the hardest--those with more knowledge.

Here's a dumb thing ! So, are the results from Vanderbilt not going to be factored in on this? I know that the finals were controversial, but, Johnson Central, Dunbar, and duPont Manual still did very well. Considering the lack of stats, differences in games played, weakness/controversy of the deci...

Johnson Central beat duPont Manual in the final round by a tiebreaker tossup. I did not attend though.
Although there was an error in the answer line of a tossup that would have won the game for Manual. Can't be more specific

I think that quizbowl for quizbowl's sake is a good idea. I like the idea of all mirror fees to go to charity. But I also think a somewhat small percentage of the other entry fees should go to underfunded teams/districts. I just put Pakistan because I was thinking about that idea that day, but I lef...

On a more limited level, have you ever considered just mirroring an existing event for charity? Dear fellow members of the quizbowl community, I know the concept of a charity tournament has come up, but has been blemished.
