Re: Alabama 08-09

Wow.... I don't know about those 6:15 am practices myself... but that's dedication. I would be more prone to see how they practice later in the evening. Not every tournament starts as early as 6am, but many tournaments could run later than 4pm. Circadian rhythms do have some meaning. I do tel...

Re: NAQT and the Dead Zone (ETC moved from Nationals)

I understand that many invitationals run without a clock on NAQT packets, but it would interest me if the sorting algorithm changed for those few tournaments that run with a clock. I would like to expect that the packets in the invitational series emulate the national set to some extent. Heck, if I ...

I think a general categorization would be nice to have rather than be focused solely on whether fine arts questions are being spiked in that area. Granted, you may uncover something that is a glitch in the randomization process of compiling the questions for HSNCT... I would also be interested in a ...

No, that's not the issue for me. It would be PACE that would be liable if you came unchaperoned. That makes a difference when it comes to event insurance and liability. If your school came under an alias for official purposes (like Kansas schools have to adhere to), I think we have been flexible to ...

Re: PACE announces new members

I'm not sure whether your particular circumstance (when it came to NSC 2008) would be under discussion. The major issue is how teams qualify for the NSC that would be more data-driven. However, I still think that for the sake of liability (and in my own opinion), we do have to have chaperoned, appro...
