Re: 2011 NAQT MSNCT
Is there going to be a live blog or some other coverage for MSNCT other than just forum updates? We're going to encourage Kealing's coach to have a Twitter feed during the weekend, but we're not sure if that's going to happen.

Re: On-going season rankings
James, I think the biggest problem that Fred (and the people who vote in the polls) have had in ranking Cistercian is that you guys have only very rarely played with your full team this year. We in Texas know that Cistercian is a good team, but it's difficult to pin down where you are in relation to...

Re: 2011 NAQT HSNCT: May 27-29, Atlanta
I've been getting quotes the last couple of days on flights to Atlanta from Austin, and even 60 days out we're looking at nearly $500 flights. These prices are so high that I'm considering chartering a bus to get us to the tournament, which as you might imagine isn't ideal since the drive is somethi...

Donald, I sent you an email to register LASA A earlier today. We aren't sure we're going to be able to put together a B team at this point, but we're going to try. I'll register them separately if that becomes necessary and if there's still room.

LASA will be bringing mostly B and C team players. It doesn't look at this moment like any of the A team will be there (unless they change their mind in the next couple of days).

As to the LASA B / St. Joe's match in the playoffs, this sounds right to me, but I have no real clue. I fully support Coach Powers's (and Benji's) version of events, and I have no problem with those stats being entered into the official record.

Coach Powers - I can tell you from our perspective what happened on Sunday. First, Hunter is a very good and dangerous team. They have very deep knowledge and are very quick on the buzzers. Plus, they seem to be a bunch of very nice kids. Second, LASA A had something like 13 or 14 negs combined in t...

FYI, that wasn't actually our B team at TQBA Kickoff. The team that won Kickoff was 2 seniors from our D team and 2 freshmen from the E team. We were missing 3 players at Kickoff, so we had to do some mixing and matching - we made ad hoc teams in the gym at Seven Lakes before the tournament started....

As the coach of another offending school, I would also like to put in my two cents. While I don't foresee our C team finishing in the top 10, they certainly have a legit shot to finish 5-5 or 6-4. For the record, LASA's A team (minus Shen, who played with a team of freshmen) and B team captain staffed the tournament.
