Re: GSAC XVI: December 6, 2008
Thanks Sarah, Dr. Barnes, & Co., for a well-run and enjoyable tournament! I only wish we had gotten to play Charlottesville, Dorman B, & TJ B so we could see if we really deserved the #8 spot; based on both the prelim round statistics— and on how we just got absolutely smashed by every team ...

Re: Announcement: RAQIT I (03/28/09) @ Robinson SS, Fairfax, VA
Thanks, Harry... we'll probably make an "official registration is now open" announcement at the MOHIT, so we should have pricing info and such by then. I imagine registration fees will be similar to virtually every other NAQT tournament in the region; i.e. around $60 per team before discou...

This will be an official NAQT tournament using a standard IS question set-- probably IS-83 or IS-84 [TBD]. Note: "IS-84" would be IS-84A. Please note the difference between IS and IS "A" Thanks, I meant IS-85 but was typing too quickly... I will adjust the announcement according...

RAQIT I @ Robinson SS, Fairfax, VA -- cancelled
Due to a variety of local tournament conflicts and a general lack of space availability at Robinson between now and the end of the school year, I am disappointed to announce that the RAQIT I is cancelled... at least until 2009-10. Thanks for your support, and I hope we can make it happen somet...

And finally, the "games played" for Elaine and Thomas don't add up correctly; admittedly, math isn't my strong point-- but I'm pretty sure that 1.0 + 1.0 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 1.0 = 5.0 (not 5.1), and 1.0 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 = 3.0 (not 2.9), as listed on their player detail tables...

No one needs to be apologetic here in asking TJ folks to get the stats up. I mean, if anything, it's TJ people who are being rude and irresponsible. Part of the implied responsibility that comes with hosting quizbowl tournaments is posting stats, and hosts who don't do it are failing their job . . ...

NAQT qualification can only be earned on the NAQT set. I presume both divisions' top 15% earn automatic bids. NAQT HS NCT qualification is now a moot point, since the HS NCT field is already completely filled (with a waiting list forming as well). So, if you haven't already qualified for the NAQT H...
