You may also consider the mirrors of MAGNI and MOO which will be held next month. Off the top of my head, I'm not sure what the closest sites are to West Lafayette, but I imagine there are sites within reasonable driving distance.

I wholeheartedly prefer the second option. Even if we have to leave the building by 5, I'd prefer to play as many packets as possible until it's time to leave.

With lunch being delivered, and with an 8:30 start time, it still may be possible to be done by 5:00 PM under option 2.

Actually that's something I didn't think about. Moving the tournament site at this point would probably throw a wrench in many travel plans. It's probably best to leave the tournament at DCC. Yeah, I just found out that my flight into Chicago will be delayed by an hour, so three members of team Hoppes won't be at the hotel for 8:30 PM. Even with the bye, this makes things a bit tricky.
