I don't believe this is happening. In my experience with the LCHC, these schools (outside of ULL) are generally unaware of the larger circuit.

Yes there are other quality teams in the southeast, notably Georgia Tech and Florida, but it may be hard for some to gauge how Alabama would perform on a national stage.

Zach, have you considered possibly reaching out to other states? Northeast Ohio has a vibrant quiz bowl circuit that plays on good questions. For many schools, it would only be about a 2.5 to 3 hour drive to Buffalo.
