I don't believe this is happening. In my experience with the LCHC, these schools (outside of ULL) are generally unaware of the larger circuit.

I could end up getting 4.5 ppg at ICT That's highly unlikely, Harrison. But I think the biggest issue is the level of competition. Yes there are other quality teams in the southeast, notably Georgia Tech and Florida, but it may be hard for some to gauge how Alabama would perform on a national stage.

I also have some qualms about claiming exclusivity on a set, and then being on the hook for paying for 10 teams from Ohio. Zach, have you considered possibly reaching out to other states? Northeast Ohio has a vibrant quiz bowl circuit that plays on good questions. For many schools, it would only be about a 2.5 to 3 hour drive to Buffalo.

I don't know if this counts, but I've learned a few things from the Mathematics Genealogy Project. I'm a descendent of mathematicians like Karl Weierstrass and Andrey Kolmogorov, so I read more about them because of this.

At the high school level, I think it's difficult to significantly adjust the canon without delving too deep into subjects. This may lead to an undesirable increase in difficulty.
