P.S. Jerry - I checked the engineering graveyard in Prince Lab and couldn't find the old buzzer. Looks like someone else commandeered it. For all intents and purposes, it has disappeared from the face of the earth.

One more year at brown, then I'll probably go into the workforce for a year or two. After that, not sure. Due to other commitments, I doubt I will play in tournaments during the first semester, though I will still run the club on the bureaucratic end, and I plan to return in the spring.

I'd love to play this. Let me know if you want to team up. I'm pretty good at most areas of music but somewhat weak on Baroque, and I know some art as well. Some opera knowledge; don't know a thing about ballet.

I agree with this, though I'd say that operas with Italian libretti, especially very well-known operas, should almost always be written in Italian in the question. The conductors bonus was mine. I think Karajan is definitely better known than Szell due to his gigantic recording catalog/the Nazi thing/etc. Anyway, this was probably the most fun I've had at a tournament all year. Very nice job, editors.

It's fine to use clues about things scientists actually study- a lot of the hostility to questions like this (especially taxonomy and the geologic time scale) was that they did a poor job of rewarding science knowledge and were often frauded by players with limited experience in the subject.
