You only count the games against the tied teams. In other words, the scores in matches against NN are simply disregarded, as NN finished 0-3.

As of 2:11 CDT:

Stevenson won the Stevenson sectional 3-0
Loyola beat New Trier by 17 in Round 3 to win their sectional 3-0
Rockford Auburn easily won their sectional 3-0
Naperville Central advanced over IMSA and WWS, all 2-1, by 27 points to win the WWS sectional.

Our conference, the CSL, does the same thing as the MSL, the only difference being that coaches get the questions only one week in advance, which is an insignificant difference. You know, recent events would prove you wrong. I think he was saying the difference between one week in advance or months...

There have been allegations of coaches substituting in players who will know the answer to the succeeding question, but I don't think anything has been proven. (see the discussion following Naperville Central '08)

It's better to take steps to prevent anything like that from ever happening.

Quizbowl strongholds like Virginia and Missouri have also stopped attending (they were not at PAC 2008)...
