Re: Yes, it's another thread about math

You're never going to come up with 15-30 questions per tournament that find a new gimmick and avoid number crunching. The other major problem with math calculation, besides its disconnect from pyramidal tossup structure, is that there's really only a few dozen things you can ask about given length ...

yeah actually, I'd do that. Edit: I can't personally do the PACE set... unless there is a second one that is cycling around that wasn't used at the Gulf Coast Tourney on February 2nd. I would prefer something more academic. The sectionals one might be okay. Or IS 72/74, whatevs. All of them seem lik...

Not to beat a dead horse, but like Euler Lines generally not heard of in any regular high school curriculum. FSU has expressed interest in holding a tournament, and is currently asking for open dates. Honestly, I would really really not like for the UF tournament to be on the 29th. It is the state tournament, and most of the pan handle teams would not attend due to spring break. In addition, it is the same...

Erg. This tournament was so frustrating without a full team. Though, we may have fielded the most hardcore colored team there. Actually though, I enjoyed the tournament questions for the most part. Very academic, which was appreciated. The lit was pretty easy, which was really really appreciated haha.

Rickards would be more than willing to have a registration fee as low as 40 dollars per team if Brindlee or Scotsboro came to our tournament on the 16th. Same applies with pretty much any team from way up in Alabama.

There are technically two state tournaments. There is the NAQT State Tournament at UF tentatively set for March 1. There is also the Commisioners Academic Challenge at like Disney World or something, which is usually a big deal.

March 8 shouldn't be too bad for Rickards as far as I can tell.

I think Rickards would be willing to come. However, April in general is a bad time due to the fact that the state tourney is in April, state JCL is in April, State math competition is in April, and the list goes on of state tournaments. I would suggest a date change to either March 8, January 12/19/...
