Re: The SJHS Mirror of GSAC XX, December 15, 2012

Of course, as soon as schools who have not yet given me a precise number of teams do in fact give me exact numbers, I can then know if other teams on the waiting list can be moved into the field. So, please remit exact team numbers as soon as possible. Thanks. Mountain Lakes will definitely have 3 ...

Re: New York Discussion 2012-13

Does anyone know if Half Hollow Hills West is having their tournament this year (and if so, when, and on what possible set) ?

I know that they usually have their tournament the first Saturday in January, but according to the NAQT website that is now also the date of Scarsdale's tournament.

Re: NY/NJ Date Claims 2012-2013

According to the NAQT website, Wilmington Charter will be hosting a tournament using IS-120 and IS-121A (I'm assuming separate varsity and jv divisions?) on November 3. IS-120 is being used by Kellenberg and IS-121A by Yale for FAcT, but given that the dearth of tournaments in NJ in November, it may...

Re: NY/NJ Date Claims 2012-2013

Looking at the schedule on NAQT's website, the Northern NJ/NYC Metro area may need to start paying a lot of attention to which sets are claimed by who and on what day. Here's the way claimed NAQT sets stand right now: IS: 118: Maryland, Princeton, Scarsdale 120: Kellenberg 122: Livingston 124: Bloom...

At some point, the PBS affiliate in Southern Illinois uploaded every single match from the most recent season of their quiz show, Scholastic Hi-Q. The only teams most people might recognize are Cumberland (they went to NSC, but their best player didn't do Hi-Q) and Carbondale. It's a four quarter fo...

Irvington plans on hosting something at some point, as an introductory pyramidal tournament to Westchester. We would prefer to use an easy set like an A set or mirror a set that isn't too hard. Harry, as you weren't in PACE when that was decided, I'm not sure where you thought that was the case.
