What discounts might a high school team who hasn't played in an ACF tournament before garner? I kinda doubt we'd be able to write a whole difficulty-appropriate packet. If your team does not have people on it who have been playing collegiate quizbowl for over 2 years, you don't have to write a pack...

Thank you Dwight, for saving me from my lack of eloquence. I'll continue to talk with Gaida and the other members of our Quiz Bowl Teams to see what strings can be pulled. ACF Winter sounds enticing, especially at the first-timers entry fee of $20(?)

The whole concept of PACE, ACF, AL, anything else not NAQT = completely foreign to me. Gaida hasn't ever mentioned it... But I think I understand all that stuff now based on your explanations of the different formats.

Also, when you say x/x, that means tossups/bonuses, correct?

Incorrect, it's easier for people to qualify because we're not playing, it's more convenient for San Diego teams, LA teams deserve to experience the joy of the roundway 4-hour trip we have to take every tournament, and this set is going to be pretty much amazing. So Caltech, when a team clears the field by at least two games, they win the tournament. What was the necessity of the single elimination play off? I've never seen Edison play, but they didn't make the top bracket at TWAIN. At this point it doesn't really matter, as they're already qualified for nationals (even if it was at a weak tournament)
