Re: VHSL Results & Opinions
The Clarke County High School page indicates that George Mason won Region B, and Clarke Co. was the runner-up. For the record, this is the fourth straight year that the Bull Run District has dominated Region B and taken both spots (although Clarke finished in third in 2006 when Mason advanced with W...

I'm not sure, since we had played the required number of games already, and both Alabama A & C had de facto cleared the field.

Re: VHSL Results & Opinions
I've been told by A.J. Collins that the Bull Run District is most likely going to send the top two seeds from the regular season to the Region B tournament and cancel the district tournament. Re: VHSL Results & Opinions
I viewed some Bull Run District matches at George Mason in December, and I feel that Mason is nearly as strong as last year, if not as strong, and that any one of Clarke/Rapp/Strasburg/Manassas Park teams could take the 2nd spot come the district tournament. Clarke beat Rapp by 5 recently, Clarke is...

Lots of scores and such It appears that Mason is just as strong as predicted. The drop in average points per match for Rapp is down, but that was to be expected. A question for you, AJ: is your brother getting frequent playing time, or is he still being broken in on the team? Danny is still being b...

How big are the rooms that we will be playing in? Rapp is bringing a large contingent (because there is honestly nothing else for people in my county to do, and Chicago is a big, pretty city somewhere over the rainbow), and we were wondering if we would be able to cram 10ish fans into a room with us.

Overall, I think this tournament was a success, and it was fun to be a part of. Other than the schedule implosion after prelims, things ran relatively smoothly, and we had a good time. HSAPQ did another good job with the questions, and the readers were clear, even if a little slow at times. One thi...

Walter Johnson defeated James Monroe in the final, although the score escapes me. Gonzaga and Hogwarts (a T.J. non A-team) finished third, although they did not play off the match. There will be two brackets of 7 teams, so each team will have 6 rounds plus a bye. We considered a cross-bracket match, and if there is interest for one that won't count in the standings and we have the resources for it, I would allow for it. The top two teams from each bracket will play cross-brack...
