It's not well run because there's less teams, it's because those teams play 6 prelim games over the space of 2 days which (barring hotel fire drills, which happened last year to us) is pretty easy to manage.

what is the discrepancy in the Gestalt bonus? because i think there might be vagueness in the part where it asks about the city where it was developed. A bunch of the psychologists who founded it worked together in frankfurt as well as berlin so i'm not sure if its vague or not.

If I remember correctly there was a velocity and a mass tossup. In the velocity de Broglie was mentioned towards the end of the question. In mass, it was mentioned in the first line. How do you justify that? Also, isn't that also a repeat question?

I believe it was 8 like the prelims. I know that in two of the three rooms it didn't happen for sure. It may have happened in the third room but for hte most part playoffs tend to be more even than prelims.

In my case, I tend to sign up for quizbowl tournaments with a range of possible teams, which allows some sort of flexibility. WIth NHBB however, the online registration gives off the vibe that the number of teams needs to be definite and as such the rosters are really only decided a week or 2 weeks ...

Irvington will register 1-3 teams for this. I can also give you a mailing list of all the teams in our league in Westchester, but they mostly play :chip: so i don't how useful it will be.

A player who is unskilled but willing to improve is way better than a player who is skilled but unwilling to improve.
