I agree with Noah... and actually if there is someone THAT good from a part of the state that used to be known for its great quizbowl players (at least in Ohio)... but has faded over the last few years... I wish you guys would travel and play more often... maybe have a shot at the state championship...

OAC SUCKS!... plain and simple... We drudged through thre hell-region last year, having to get through Solon and then Copley to get to states last year... and we did so, then we got there and got b****slapped and Copley ended up beating everyone there and winning the state for the umpteenth time... ...

Ohio has the dreaded Ohio Academic Competition Format, which often turns into a buzzer race and IMHO, doesn't do anything to show who truly is the #1 team in the state. Just last year, Greg Bossick held our first NAQT State Tournament and I'm running it this year, so technically Ohio now has 2 state...

Because we've already tried to get them to join this board, but they're stuck in that in-state mindset, hopefully by getting them to join a board in our own home state, I can expand it to nationally...

Sue, Andy and their cronies write the questions in-house... they like the ASCN format even more so than OAC... so they created the "No-Frills" tournament last year... Its a really good time, and a really fun 'preseason' tournament.

Yeah, we ordered these last year, and I noticed several mistakes as well, but the goods outweigh the bads I think. Now I write my own for our team, but they hold me over until I can get to each new subject in between other priorities. For the $99 for all the packets, it was worth it too.

Yeah, we were in Myrtle Beach. I'm one of the coaches now... as I was also in 2003 in MB. I used to be the captain, but we used to frequent ASCN in Chicago and went to NAC when I was a mistake and had the fun of playing on :chip: questions.
