Oh, and if anyone has any side events they'd be looking to do CO weekend, post away (in some other thread perhaps labelled possible CO side events). It would be cool if some group of people put together a general interest side event, instead of Biochemistry Explosion, or something.

In practice, I find that buzzer races tend to happen more often in events where the editors either (1) aren't very good/knowledgeable when it comes to sorting clues and making sure you don't drop very gettable clues early...or (2) are knowledgeable but are just not that concerned about dropping buzz...

I can't speak at all to the quality of the set that was produced - it may be true that the editors did not optimally use the submissions and time they were given - but using 20 out of 63 packets is just the way it has to be for ACF Fall. It's also possible that I gave a discount to the Peterson team just because I like that Will Cotton bonus part that I changed to Katy Perry, in order to bring that bonus down to somewhere near the realm of even difficulty.

Anytime you hear, it "may be possible to finish at" - discount the statement as spurious.
