For teams that know things, yes. For the teams not in the top brackets, I saw power rates below 1/6.

Carbondale is 2 hours from St. Louis, 3.5 hours from Springfield (IL) or Champaign, 4 from Columbia, MO, and 5 from Chicago or Lexington, KY. From what I saw, I don't see Iowa really being a source of circuit expansion in the near future. Iowa State and Drake occasionally go to things, but I remember Grinnell hosting things when Avram Lyon was there, and after Quentin Roper and Paul Drube left Iowa City, that team fell off the map as well...

Glad to see Iowa getting some representation on this board.

There does seem to be a dearth of tournaments in the area on that side of the river.

Why not put together a schedule of tournaments the team would like to attend, and take that to the relevant people to show them how serious you are?

Usually, it should only matter if the question itself is bad, and does not immediately point to a specific answer.

The rule I've seen used is that if any extraneous relevant information is incorrect, it's a neg, even if the correct answer is included. I see no problem with this.

For the BDAT set, the field at Missouri S & T's mirror was not really prepared for the set at all-only the top 2-4 teams there really were. I routinely had non-playoff games end in a 130-30 final, for example. I'm of the opinion that sets need to get easier, and BDAT was an early offender this year...

To echo Dan, standard practice is for rebounded bonus parts to be worth the same. As to timing, some tournaments use 5 seconds, some use 3. This has been tried before, I think Brown tried this with one of the EFTs. The issue is adding the extra space to a scoresheet while still making it useful for SQBS entry. Honestly, I think that 8.5x11 is too small for most tournaments' scoresheets, with the variants involving powers, negs, rebounds...
