I don't know how it is in Canadia, but at least in New Jersey, there's two types of tournaments: quizbowl tournaments on the weekends, and non-pyramidal tournaments after school a few times a year (Chip or otherwise). Also, I agree with Bruce (shocking!). I think the veneration of "back to the classroom" is a particularly onerous thing in quizbowl. With the dropping of North Babylon's two teams, we have added "Deep Green" to the field. There is still one more opening left, and anyone with a moderator would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Hunter also dropped a team, so we are now at 22 teams, with 2 openings.

It's been one week since registration opened, so all registered teams on the waitlist have been added to the field. Coincidentally, this gets us exactly to our 24 team field cap, so any more teams that register will be put on the waitlist.

Regarding PHSAT: NAQT does a weird thing with the stats where the ppb comes out bad on their website. If that's what you used, the stats on the database are more accurate.

Is there any chance that stats will be posted eventually? I know this might be a bit much to ask, given that by the end of the day, moderators were trying to chase down exiting teams to ask if they accidentally took the scoresheet.

High Tech is great as long as they don't neg themselves out of a game. Livingston is great as long as they don't psyche themselves out of a game. Yeah...eight negs in our first game back wasn't exactly the best omen, but TBF we were a bit out of practice, and I like to think we made up for it a bit...

Oh yeah, one other comment I heard was that there was an abundance of jazz music in this tournament. I'm not entirely sure what the standard is, or if this is like the NAQT Geo-Effect where it just feels bigger, but was jazz expanded for NSC?
