Re: Distribution

I can't back you up on this one, Will. NAQT has a decent science distribution, but I will admit they have alot of geo (although housewrites have too little geo) and almost no economics, although econ has a very small canon, so having more isn't very feasible.

Look, I realize that I'm not going to necessarily know the full curriculum of the AP class. Re: Studying History

I got my start as a history player through a relatively intense AP-de-facto Euro history class and AP US History; consider taking those strongly if your school offers them. The problem with that is I'll probably know all the information the class covers by the time I can take AP Euro History and AP...

Studying History

I'm working on becoming a history/geography specialist and, although I think I've got a basic grasp of the high school canon already, I'm not sure how to move forward in studying history. Right now I've just been reading NHBB packets. Are there better and possibly more interesting ways to study?

Re: Improving as a geography player?

Geography bee experience is key to becoming a really good geography player, but I'm guessing you don't have that. If you want some reference books on what's important, you can try Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. It gives a fairly good outline, and it has maps in it as well. You could also try doing questio...

Your point is interesting. Although it could hypothetically work, tossups would have to be extremely long and there would be quite a restriction on answer lines. I'm surprised nobody mentioned bonuses. You really couldn't write those at all this way without teams with the same school level (ms, hs, ...
