We have changed the building of this tournament from O'Donnell to the first floor of Lokey. Make sure to park in the lots and not in the street, and Lokey is the building with the glass facade the farthest away from the Hedding Street parking lots. And perhaps reduce the general knowledge distribution as well. I don't see a reason why NAQT should distinguish between "general" knowledge and other types of trash when making its distribution and should accordingly limit the trash distribution in its entirety.

I emailed 4 different people at the Statesman in Austin to get them to do something for Kealing's MSNCT championship (and 1st, 4th and 5th place finishes for their 3 teams), but I got no responses at all. A breather would be pretty nice, especially as far as West Coast teams are concerned. We end up flying across the nation for every national tournament, so travel fatigue can set in rather quickly. A larger break between the tournaments gives us a larger buffer for it to wear off.

Mythology: The Illustrated Edition edited by C. Scott Littleton is an entertaining read that covers pretty much the entire high school myth canon. It's a large book (in terms of area and volume), but if you don't mind that aspect, it's a great way to equip yourself to get myth.

Your practices should have a relaxed environment to induce people to return. My school's very successful speech and debate team had a sort of off-putting regimented corporate discipline to it, and this is what made the quiz bowl team's laid back atmosphere all the more attractive.
