Having had a few days to rest and soak in the results from NAQT tournament in Atlanta, GA, (apart from Cistercian's own results) it was good to see that Texas teams did so well -- LASA 'A" took 3rd, Cistercian 'A' tied for 8th  , LASA 'B' took 21st (tie), St. Mark's 33rd (tie), Cistercian...

The last, real postings certainly give Cistercian both hope about the competition and something tangible to shoot for. We plan to do both. Between monastic ascesis and apatheia , on the one hand, and adolescent exuberance on the other, I think we'll do just fine. Thanks for all the rankings work. Se...

In reading over these many entries, it seems as though the Aesthetics of the Neg Response has been overlooked. Of course, lame players may simply become Neg-Monsters and take all the fun out. Although Texas is a LONG way from NY, one of the things you might try is to ask students in your own school who attend "academic" events with other schools, such as National Honor Society, Cum Laude, Math Club, Debate Club, JETS (Junior Engineers), etc. to use their contacts with/at other ...
