Re: Krik? Krak! Moo: Electric Blankets are Optional

I think it would be more enjoyable for the field and more beneficial for you as a player if you chose some other category to write on. This is probably true. I'm working on another tournament that probably fits this description and will write more about that when I feel like enough progress has bee...

Re: Krik? Krak! Moo: Electric Blankets are Optional

I hope I don't sense an argument here that "man, novels are too long to read nowadays, which implies no one reads them, which then implies no one has real knowledge on them so let's not ask about them." Ike That's a fair point, but not my intention here. I'm not aiming to base this tournament on an...

Krik? Krak! Moo: Electric Blankets are Optional

This is a tentative interest check for Krik? Krak! This tournament is still open for mirrors. I'm planning to add one more round, replace some of the final round answers that were deemed too tough, and move those (along with some others) to a declared "hard" round that can be played for fun without necessarily being given final-round designation.

It would be really interesting if, based on the votes here, someone made a head-to-head thing like was done last time for the top teams, and compared that to actual results. Tanay, that's great, but you're forgetting the most important word in the original post: "public." You could try initially having incentives to come try out quizbowl: pie, pizza, pop, popcorn, etc. This is a ridiculous idea. If you have pie, pizza, pop, popcorn, etc. , keep it for yourself.
