Re: Tournakit: A Format and Toolkit

I've made a script that takes the HTML files from the tournament database and parses them into Christian's JSON format. For a specific stat report, go to http://hdwhite.org/qb/stats/importmatch.php?t=AAAA&p=BBBB , where AAAA is the number of the tournament in the URL, and BBBB is the name of the sta...

Does anyone know what happened to Princeton's PHSAT September 28th announcement on the Regular Season forum? I went to look for a field update and it seems to have simply disappeared. Re: TDB help thread

It would be nice if there was coarser filtering for the date of tournaments. For example, if one were to search "Regionals" , the only real option you have for finding all the 2013 sites is to put in two mm/dd/yyyy dates that includes February 23 & 24. Being able to specify just a year would be imm...

Re: Tournament Database Search by Team

Anyway you could implement a search for individual players? That might help with eligibility rules, like with Collegiate Novice. Done. It might take a bit for all the results to show up, though. It's taking me a while for me to build the database. EDIT: All 144,449 player entries and 36,797 team en...

I've made a few updates to the search. Using apostrophes should no longer break the thing (and naming your team "Ladue'); DROP TABLE teams; --" should no longer make me cry). I've also implemented searching with OR (so you don't have to search for TJ and Thomas Jefferson in two different searches). ...

I think this whole thing is a supply and demand thing. This points to what I think is the real issue here: Less Tournaments close = les...

There's been declining attendance in the DC area for years. It was common to see 64 teams at a tournament with another 5 to 10 on the wait list. It's very rare to see a tournament with 32 teams now. In fact, many have on the order of 16 to 20. Not too long after the decline in attendance, organizer...

It looks like something that might be done using regular expressions, similar to how I did the search by team.
