I think what he's trying to say was that in one round, the tossups were of ACF Fall difficult while bonus were of ACF Regional/National. This caused to teams to get the tossups but then zero a lot of the bonuses.

I think that if you're dealing with brand new members, Prison Bowl is probably a bit too difficult. I recommend stuff like NAQT A level or IS just to get them used to pyramidality with the goal to eventually move them on to more difficult and longer packets.

I can't really make predictions about Princeton but what I can say is that 3 of East Brunswick's 4 A team members graduated, Millburn lost a bunch of it's A team members and Stuy's program is kind of in disarray (although Aidan is still very good, look at his numbers last year at LIFT when he played...

That be difficult to do. A lot depends on when Byko has free time and when he receives tournament, so just the rankings regularly for updates.

I agree that having 8 tournaments within a half hour drive is convenient. Also, Millburn may not be having that big of a year this year. I guess their adviser has a broken leg or something along those lines, some ailment. But anyways they already canceled their tournament because of that, and I assume their travel will be cut back. Ok....this doesn't really make much sen...

I sort of forgot about Bloomfield. I guess that happens when you no longer play high school. Nevertheless, Bloomfield's going to need A LOT improvement after a very dissapointing season last year.

I think a team that went 1-5 and could not once break 150 points on an NAQT A Set at Seton Hall is not "strong" by any quizbowl-related definition of that term. I'm going to throw in Bergen as a team that has the POTENTIAL to be very good. Watson is already incredible, possibly one of the best science players in the country, and continues to improve in other subjects. If some his teammates can put in the effort and improve in subjects like lit/history/music...
