I apologize for the late posting for statistics, but they'll be compiled and put up soon. Rutgers did indeed win, followed by Harvard B (pending Bruce's challenge), then I believe Harvard A, then Princeton A. Stats were kept through the first 9 rounds.

Note: Due to the rather large field (which is great), it appears that we too may be short a few moderators. If any teams are able to bring any staffers, please let me know as soon as possible. Field update: Harvard (3?) Rutgers-NB (1) Brandeis (1-2) Amherst (1-2) MIT (3) Yale (1-2) Columbia (3) Dart...

Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest for Quiz Bowl

Inspired by the recent Moon Pie question on the Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest, I think this would be an ample time to begin a Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest for Quiz Bowl. If you have any contenders for the worst first line of a toss-up written in the 2006-07 year, please post it here. We could all u...

First off, I'd like to thank Athul and the rest of BU for running a mirror of Moon Pie, which ran smoothly and had probably the most elaborate awards ceremony I've seen so far. However, I'd like to echo those sentiments about the Moon Pie questions. I was disappointed with the lack of editing, parti...

An update: in a dire attempt to bring whatever teams possible, we are going to move this tournament to Saturday, May 5th, because the field is looking mighty small and without more teams, we may have to cancel. I'll be trying to send out physical registrations later this week, but email is just as g...

Just bumping this post up as a reminder that we are indeed going to run this tournament. Due to what appears to be some scheduling conflicts with vacations/SATs/other tournaments, we are willing to hold this tournament on April 21, April 28, or May 5, so that we can accommodate as many teams as poss...
