UIUC and WUSTL were playing an advantaged final when I left earlier (WUSTL had a one game advantage). Truman A placed third with two losses to UIUC and a split with WUSTL.

I am currently looking to re-schedule this to 2/13/10 because this would probably not interfere with the T-Party field for UMN. This seems like the most plausible date at this point and I will let you know when a final decision has been made.

I agree with Charlie. Although this tournament is relatively close to us, I can't really justify recommending our team attend an IS event...even our younger guys. Those questions will hardly help make our players better. If you find a better question option, we would be much more likely to attend.

I will take the blame for the Bridges of Konigsberg tossup, although I don't think it suffered for lack of uniquely-identifying clues. It may not have been the best idea for a tossup so I apologize if it seemed like a strange choice.

I'm staying at a friend's apartment that lives right across from the Blue Line station at Logan Square. If I am dropped off on Friday night by my driver without a car, what is the best way to get to the tournament on Saturday morning given my location?

You can take the Metro from the airport to downtown. Conveniently, the Metro also stops near Kayak Cafe, which is right by WashU's campus. If you time everything correctly and leave early enough, you should have no problem...unless there is an issue with the Metro that I am unaware of at the moment.

I plan to beef up on my science this summer so by the time this tournament roles around, I would probably call myself a "science player." I also pretty much only know Latin American and Spanish history/literature, but that can get a few points here and there.

I had fun despite being clueless on many of the questions. It was definitely eye-opening, having never played solo, to start on such a set.
