Can I post a "bad" bad neg??? From the Antioch Invitational semifinals (junior high): GIVEN: Chunnel CORRECT: Channel Tunnel No amount of protesting changed the mod's mind, either. "It's not on the paper" was all he'd say. I thought about explaining myself further after th...

Doesn't work. After I register a username and try to do a login, I'm stuck at the login page. When I enter my username and password and click Login, it simply reloads the very same page again.

So now that they have a Middle School NAQT State Championship, will there be an NAQT National Middle School Championship as well this year? Or is Alabama the only state which has a Middle School NAQT State Championship?

EDIT: NAQT NSC???

If you mean the HSNCT announcemnt, it's probably just because no one's posted there in a while.
Yeah that's what I meant. I corrected it.

Why was the 2006 NAQT NSC thread moved to the hs archive?

Hello,

Why was the thread about the 2006 NAQT HSNCT Announcement moved to the High School Area archive??
The 2006 HSNCT is still going to take place, isn't it? It would suck if it was called off since I just booked my plane tickets  .

When I played in Alabama, we ALWAYS had volunteers read the matches. I think a few coaches help out with reading but they NEVER read a match in which their own team is participating.

I like slow moderators. But that's probably because I'm not as familiar with the English language as most everybody else on the board here is. However, if the moderators are speaking clearly and a bit louder, fast reading is ok too.

There's one strange thing that I noticed: If I take a round-trip from June 2th through June 4th from MUC ( Munich ) to ORD ( Chicago O'Hare ) and back, it costs about 512€ ( $550 ). However, if I want a one-way ticket from MUC to ORD, it costs from $1,600 ( Lufthansa ) to $2,100 ( Delta ). Why is ...

Cool, thank you! That helps a lot!!! Let's hope that you will qualify. Now I only have to get the money for the plane ticket ( I already have half of it and I'll probably have all of it at the end of October ) and I have to tell my parents about it  . And that's the difficult part. I hope they'...

I just looked up the regular prices of the Crowne Plaza Hotel rooms. It's like $360 per night. If I'm staying 3 nights ( til Monday morning ), I would pay over $1,000  Are there cheap hotels/motels/inns around O'Hare that you can recommend staying at? I looked at another Crowne Plaza which ju...

About the 'tabletop' or 'handheld' issue: You can use the Judge both ways. Most of us just sat their buzzer on the table and then pushed it whenever they wanted to buzz in ( tabletop ) but a few people, especially Andy ( I think it was him ) liked to hold their buzzers with their hands and then push...

I have been playing Quizbowl for one year and we used the Judge. From what I heard it's fairly inexpensive. You don't have to wire anything either because it's hardwired. Sometimes, you have the problem that the wires are a little too short. I guess you get what you pay for. But still it's a nice sy...

We have one guy in brindlee mountain B, that always said 'illuminati' if he didn't knwo the answer to the question. even when it was clear that the question asked for a country for example, he would still say illuminati. This occured at the pace nationals and was quite annoying.

I liked the tournament, however at times it got crowded in the rooms. I think the teams shouldn't have faced each other in some of the rooms. That was irritating. But otherwise, great tournament!!!
