Partial Results from Savannah Country Day Tournament

I was not at the Tournament but my team called me and told me following results. Heritage (Conyers, Ga.) beat Grayson in the finals. I think Brookwood and Bradwell Institute were the semifinalists. Always a great tournament!

Cedar Shoals JV

I wasn't there today but I talked to my teams and they said they enjoyed the Cedar Shoals tournament. Sounds like South Carolina dominated this one...I think it was Dorman first and James Island second...my team (Heritage) finished third and Bleckley finished fourth. I'm very proud of the Heritage J...

Partial Brookwood JV Results

Chattahoochee edged out Heritage (Conyers, Ga.) 205 to 200 to win the Championship. I know that Ezell-Harding and Indian Springs were in the semis and that both semi matches were close. As always it was a great tournament with great questions. Thanks to all at Brookwood for doing such a wonderful job.

Correct to Incorrect Ratio?

Considering misses to be wrong answers that interrupt the question - what range of ratios of correct answers to misses do you consider to be in the optimum range? I have over the years considered anything from 4:1 to 10:1 to be ideal (It may sound strange but I don't think most of my players with be...

Any Varsity Tournaments in the Southeast in February?

We have had to cancel the Heritage Tournament for February 2006. Does anyone know of any varsity tournaments scheduled for February?

Thanks to JR Barry and the entire Brookwood Team for hosting another great tournament! I'm not sure how they do such a wonderful job with a field of 140 teams but they do. The questions were great (especially the ones that referenced UGA foes).

Central Macon moved up to 4A this year. They finished fourth (Woodward beat them in the semis and Stockbridge beat them to finish 3rd).

Georgia State Champions

Georgia held the State Championships in Macon this weekend. Heritage (Conyers, Georgia) won the 4A Championship by defeating Woodward Academy 280 - 130. Stockbridge finished 3rd and Central Macon finished 4th. I'm not sure about the other classifications but I believe that in 5A Walton beat Brookwoo...
