Re: Illinois '08-'09
To carlo, laird, or whoever edited the set. I forgot to mention I was king of surprised with the amount of repeats, one especially obvious one can be seen in round two in bonus 17 and toss-up 20. It didn't really effect us because we saw neither of those questions, but still... David Yeah...yeah. A...

Re: Midwest EFT Mirror @ UIUC (Saturday, October 4th)
My only gripe with the questions was that some bonuses were a little out there I thought, and there were a fair amount of repeats. I'm curious as to what you mean by "out there." If you have specifics you would like to mention, contact me privately. I really can't remember any specifics. ...

Re: Midwest EFT Mirror @ UIUC (Saturday, October 4th)
Thanks to the ABT, they put on a good show. As others said, I wish we could have gotten out of town earlier, but I understand many times tournaments run late due to unforeseen and/or uncontrollable events, so it's no biggie. My only gripe with the questions was that some bonuses were a little out th...

Honestly, I could see NT winning a few games in the playoffs or not even lasting til Sunday. I think it all depends on Ben, really. He has the ability to dominate on NAQT format/questions, and if he can get hot, NT will do well.

Re: Illinois '07-'08
I've always noticed when it comes to talking about changing Schobowl in regards to the IHSA that the common thread is principals. It seems as if the coaches can attempt anything they want, but they likely won't get much done, whereas a few principals will convince the IHSA. Is this somewhat accurate...

However, given all of his contributions, I was enormously disappointed that Nick Matchen was not given more serious consideration. I'm touched! However, I wasn't even sure if I belonged on First Team or not. I guess it goes back to the "contributions to the game" vs. stats as a player arg...

Well, throughout the day, it was VERY VERY difficult to answer ANY of the computational math questions. Here at Loyola, we don't believe in answering math questions. Good questions overall, but maybe a little more variety. I'd rather be asked to name generals than name the forts in certain states. Technology is such a tricky subject. I think at this point, you either know a lot about it or nothing. I'll have to disagree. Are there are any covers of songs that make you laugh out loud? Parodies such as stuff by Weird Al excluded, of course.
