Re: What's the matter with Kansas?

Does anyone have contact information for Kansas State or any of the CC teams in Kansas? I would like to contact them and try to establish a pyramidal circuit in Kansas of some kind.

Re: What's the matter with Kansas?

So, I contacted the KSHSAA and explained pyramidality, and included a link to a guide for writing questions. This is the response I got: ALL of our questions used at regional and state competition are based on Kansas curriculum sent in by the 325 KSHSAA member schools who participate in Kansas Schol...

Re: 2012 NAC

That wasn't an "Ernie" thing nearly as much as it was a "I think NAC plagiarized a question" thing.
Sorry, I realize now that Ernie wasn't the person writing the questions.

Re: 2012 NAC

On the subject of Ernie Anderson this may be interesting. Fred Morlan 2006 While not a Chip tournament per se, I did attend Marshall SCORES as a high school senior. The tournament is organized by noted Chip flunkie Ernie Anderson. Other than the terrible questions, only one incident really comes to ...

Re: 2012 NAC

Note that I didn’t say anything about higher-quality PEOPLE, because, honestly, as people there’s nothing bad at all to be said about Ariel, Brick, Ernie, Jason, Brooks and Tina Going 20 years back, the problem was certainly not to do with Ernie Anderson or Brick Barrientos (or for that matter, Mik...

Re: How to Explain Pyramidality

They use Questions Galore. But, unfortunately (or rather fortunately) I don't have any questions they have produced.

How to Explain Pyramidality

I am trying to convince the OSSAA to select HSAPQ as their question provider. In order to do this I need to simply and briefly illustrate the flaws with non-pyramidal quizbowl to coaches who are quite happy with it. Any suggestions?

Re: 2012 NAC

Norman North invited them to our tournament. They also showed some interest in a Oklahoma BHSAT mirror that never came to fruition. Vimal spoke highly of them at the beginning of this season. Wonder why they moved to :chip: when they were fairly good at pyramidal tournaments?
