Hello! The IHSSBCA is running Novice and Kickoff online, and we're looking for moderators for the events. If that is the case, I'd either rewrite and correct errors in-house (or pay a head editor to do it) or relet the bid. Hi! This answer is an operational nightmare. First, existing sets shouldn't be giving tournament hosts the right to edit their questions. (If a team wants to write for just you, tha...

When my son started playing quizbowl this year, I was horrified to find that there were teams attending an MS tournament, run by HSers no less, with no adult supervision. As a parent, I cannot let my son continue to play on this circuit, at least in its current form. Every high school in SoCal runn...

Vikshar, I hear you loud and clear, and when I was your age 12 years ago (and for a plenty long time thereafter) I agreed with pretty much everything you said. 300 teams know who's gonna dominate HSNCT and that it's not them; a solid 200+ of them still have "fight for 6-4" as a legitimate aspiration, and I think a lot of the kids in the neighborhood that Dylan's quoting are among those 200 teams. There's nothing for those kids in college nats; t...
