Re: 2013 HSNCT discussion

Packet 7 had a bonus part whose second answerline was "Bunsen" that mentioned that Cesium was discovered by Kirchoff and this man (Bunsen). In the afternoon, I can't remember what packet exactly, but I believe the Cesium TU started off mentioning Bunsen and Kirchoff again. Could I also see...

Re: New Jersey NASAT Try-Outs in April

We emailed Dennis but he has not yet updated his post at this time. I believe Matthew expressed interest for science and humanities, but I will ask him to make a post to confirm his entry. Ridgewood is bringing two buzzers sets for Princeton, so we're fine with providing a set for try-outs.

Re: NJ NASAT

Perhaps polling people about which dates work, who is interested in trying out/can moderate would work best to see a general agreement? Prison Bowl this weekend brings several NJ teams together, and there's an opportunity to broadcast in case an interested team is not particularly active on the foru...

Re: NJ NASAT

Seeing as Penn-ance has been posted on the archives, perhaps it would be best for Coach Powers (unless another coach would like to step in) to email Minnesota and inquire if they would be alright with NJ using it. Maybe taking 30 questions of each side subject and having interested players run the g...

Re: NJ NASAT

I inquired Coach Powers if he was still interested in running NJ NASAT as he has in the past, but when I asked him at Princeton NHBB there were no plans as of yet. As Kevin noted in his recent post in the NJ discussion, it has been an incredibly well matched circuit, so there may not even be an agre...

Re: 3 Day Ridgewood Summer Invitational: July 6-8, Ridgewood, NJ

Esther said she wrote over fifty questions one day, which, whether due to necessity or desire or both, was sure to lead to oversights, which needed to be corrected by the editing team. EDIT: evidently, I misremembered a comment Esther made to me on Friday evening. She did not write fifty questions ...

Re: 3 Day Ridgewood Summer Invitational: July 6-8, Ridgewood, NJ

First, on behalf of the rest of the team, I have to thank all of those who were in attendance this weekend. They lent their support by enduring a three-day event that, to quite a few, can’t exactly be described as optimal (if not for the love of quiz bowl). As a team we salute the players who suffer...
