Yes, the show "It's Academic" holds the world record for longest running game show. It airs in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Maryland and Richmond, Virginia. In Washington, D.C. it is hosted by Mac McGarry and has 81 teams who compete in a playoff like system where three teams play at once...

I talked to a member of the Albemarle team yesterday... they won the Northwest in Group AAA. GW-Danville took second place.

For all of you Virginia public schoolers out there, it would be good to have a post for the VHSL tournaments, so we can all scout out our competition for Regionals and States... We at Charlottesville (Group AA, Region II) hosted Districts yesterday; the Jefferson District will be represented by ours...

Any word on whether this tournament was a Nationals qualifier? :)
