Re: WUSTL mirror of 2015 VCU Open - August 8, 2015
I'm wondering if we could totally play Tricon: The Next Generation as a little side event for this (of course, excluding James and I from playing the packet that we wrote).

Re: Tricon: The Next Generation
Although I can't go to Richmond to play the actual tournament (I hope to attend the Wash U mirror of VCU Open instead), I do wonder if James and I can still submit a packet for this.

Re: Discussion of pronunciation guides
...it would require moderators to stop reading, look down at the bottom of the question, say the word, and then go back up to where they were reading, find their place again, and resume reading... This would only happen with good moderators, or at least those who have enough knowledge to make out b...

Re: Discussion of pronunciation guides
I would think a good compromise measure (at least for moderators that have hard times pronouncing things) would be to have the pronunciations mixed in with the text, with the actual spellings placed after the answerline. An example, using the tossup Andrew Hart embedded, is below: Congenital decreas...

Re: Illinois '14-'15
Like the rest of my team, I am absolutely disgusted at the questions that our conference is using. The unwillingness of teams near us to use quality material puts us at a disadvantage in terms of what experience we can cultivate south of I-70.

Re: 2014 IHSA
We plan to make a killing on Friday, if the scheißeness of the questions allows it.
I'm glad that people south of I-70 are recognized in Class A.
EDIT: Remove the inflammatory comment.

Re: Geography Monstrosity 5 (postponed to NSC)
I will totally do it, contingent on PACE extending the field to allow 4+ waiting teams (Carbondale being the fourth) into the brackets.
Please add me as a free agent. I doubt anyone else from my team will be doing it, so...

Re: Harvard Fall Tournament difficulty discussion
On the whole lots of the expected came out of the tournament, so I felt all right with the distribution and the quality of the questions. There was, at least from my point of view, a disproportionately high number of science in the playoffs and history/geography in the afternoon, but that is not sur...
