UPenn would like to bring 1 DII team. (I hope it's not too late to register.)

What is the best way to get from Union Station to George Mason?

Hey Mike, I'll also be a Quaker come the fall. Penn does have a quiz bowl team--they call it "Academic Demolition"--and they host what I think is the biggest college tournament every year. I'll prolly try it out in the beginning, I doubt I'll do it all four years (but you never know). I'll...

April 16 is UVA's NAQT tournament. I don't know whether you're expecting a lot of Virginia teams at UMD this time around, but if you move the date to that weekend you might lose some teams.

Washington Post article

Nice front-page article on quiz bowl in the Washington Post today...what do people think of it? http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A7195-2004Oct4.html Back in college, Robert Hentzel and his teammates competed at the championship level, but victory always came without fanfare. Or fans, fo...

Is there any way you could move the date? I was just about to make a post announcing that TJ was moving its NAQT tournament date to October 2nd, as we had not received any responses for our original date (September 11th). It would be best if we had our tournaments on separate weekends...I doubt many...

TJ will be sending all our PACE B-team members: Mike S., Mike W., Dan, and Alex (moi). We also have one or two people (still waiting for confirmation from one of them) on the wait-list, as they weren't regular B-team players. Good luck to everyone this weekend!

B teams

TJ has had a very strong B team this year, mostly made up of sophmores and sometimes one or two juniors...At the Spotswood tournament, our B team beat teams like Blake and Lee to get to the finals, and we then beat Gonzaga (who had beat our A team in the semifinals). We're sending a B team to NAQT a...
