I'm a fan of timed rounds myself, especially when swiss pairing is involved. When the lowest seeded teams play each other, games with a set number of pyramidal questions tend to go on for longer periods of time. Yeah, I need to check the caledar more. The weekday tourney is within a few weeks, I now realize I don't have the right date. Gonzaga's was fun last year. Questions were good. Beautiful building. I just can't remember what we had for lunch.

Any tournament at our school but not run by our team is on a weekday, not a weekend.

By the way, we plan on going to the GAT II.

EDIT: Forgot about Rosh Hashana. And I'm Jewish. That tournament is some time soon though.

We used no "Who wrote Moll Flanders?" type questions this year. Actually, there were. The second day of practice was a total buzzer race in my room because of the ultra-short questions. One question used for the first match of the final (third) day of the tournament during the first round...

Sounds great. I especially like the random placement of ten lightning buzzes, because hey, you can never prime the buzzer too much. There's a 10-question round of purely lightning questions at the beginning, followed by the other questions. 48 teams are expected, no idea on current numbers though.
