Re: ACF Regionals 2014 Global Announcement

So I submitted Berkeley D's packet yesterday though the post shows that only up to Berkeley C has submitted and has been updated today. Is that a typo, or did you not receive our packet for some reason? I received an e-mail from Nicholas Karas telling me there were only three Berkeley teams, and to...

Re: BDAT II General Discussion

After playing the set today, I definitely think it was well written however I was annoyed at a couple of things. The main issue I had was the large amount of poetry within the lit distro. It felt as though there was a 2/2 Poetry, 1/1 Plays and 1/1 Novels. I do agree that I didn't like how some clues...

The tournament will follow the standard NAQT format which can be found here: http://www.naqt.com/downloads/rules.pdf . We will be following all but two of the rules: we will ha...

As a side note, could you please clarify exactly which teams qualified for HSNCT/NSC? Thanks! As Tressler said, the top three teams qualify for HSNCT meaning RM A, RM B and Walter Johnson have qualified. Since NSC takes the top 25% of teams, the teams that have qualified for HSNCT as well as Hender...

Re: CSWIFT at Wilmington Charter (11/3/12)

Given the unusual circumstances with the hurricane, perhaps the tournament could be restructured with a single division? That would make one decent sized event for everybody, and i would imagine most coaches would understand the problems. I was considering this but if we turned it into an IS level ...

In February/March, to accommodate teams who have already played or will play both IS 120 and 122 at different tournaments. I don't plan on changing the packet structure if the tournament is still held this Saturday since teams who have signed up have not played either packet yet.

Re: CSWIFT at Wilmington Charter (11/3/12)

122 is being used in March at Livingston in New Jersey, so that might not help the teams that had conflicts with LIFT. The only other regular IS level sets left are 124 which is being used at UD and 126 which I believe is reserved for state championships. We could run a tournament on an A level set...

Re: CSWIFT at Wilmington Charter (11/3/12)

So as of now we have about 9 Varsity teams and about 12 JV teams. I am considering rescheduling this tournament because of this. If this were to be rescheduled...

http://hsquizbowl.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=13418 - this tournament is using the same A-set. We'd love to send younger teams to both, so is there any chance you can try to work with Centennial and cover two different A-sets (I think 117-A is unused in the DC metro area) rather than overlap...

This is just an idea but if you want more team diversity you could invite some of the local middle school teams. Some of them are really good and could give some of the high school teams a run for their money. It's a bit late but maybe a couple more dedicated teams from schools the Independence and ...

Half our B team will also not be able to make it, meaning if we come we will probably only have about 2 teams of practically all sophomores and freshmen. I hope we can send at least one team but I can't promise anything right now.

The final placement game for GDS and Mannheim Township doesn't seem to have been included in the stats. I'm thinking Mannheim didn't really have 13 negs against RM A. You are correct that the stats must have been entered incorrectly. Manheim Township had 3 minus 5's, not 13. This might have been our first attempt at NAQT in many years, we aren't that bad! Yeah, I must have enterred an extra 1 by by a...
