Re: This Time, A Stern Warning
Good lord, I did not cheat at Terrapin Open. I certainly do understand regression enough to know that the numbers are pretty extreme. I don't fault people for finding them suspicious - certainly, the psychological effect is amplified because Eric and I happened to be on the same team. I also don't w...

I appreciate the analysis here, but I think these examples kind of illustrate the opposite point. Comparatively, the fact...

Ohio State didn't show up to this tournament. Nobody told me this, despite *several* phone calls to *multiple* numbers, until my text message was answered at 10:15. Here I will also note that all of these issues are exacerbated by NAQT's unique desire to count prelim games against unshared opponents; OSU actually could have won our last-tossup game against Yale in 2018, gone 4-1 in the playoffs, and *still not made the super-playoffs because we lost to Chicago ...

That said, I want to make sure that everyone understands that we never have (and never will) break a tie that determines which playoff bracket you go to alphabetically. The only tie that was broken alphabetically would be one where in the morning bracket, two teams tie for first (or 3rd, 5th, 7th)....
