On behalf of my team, I'd like to thank Mr. Blessman for running an excellent tournament - we had a great time. I'd like to congratulate both Seven Lakes and Dorman for their excellent performance; having played them both, I can attest to their vast knowledge and buzzer skills. Thanks again for a gr...

So, I have good news and bad news.
EDIT: I should have made it clear; we have a snow day.
Good news: No school for us (duPont Manual)
Bad News: District prevents us from going to extracurriculars. I'm sorry, but we're going to have to cancel.

I am a fan of trophies, simply because it brings teams back. I remember back in middle school there as this tournament that gave out trophies for first place that were as tall as I was (and I'm pretty tall) and this is by no means a hyperbole. That was my favorite tournament all year because of thos...

Also, the tiebreak system irked me (and not just because we lost as a result of it). The one tossup, winner-take-all system is a little, well...
Overall, all the Manual teams had fun and we hope next year's ABC will be better run.

Um... well, that is a very good question. Simply put September is just too early especially if we want out-of-state teams to attends, which we do. So I can say with some degree of surety that an early September date is not a good idea. Possibly later September.

Maybe the best test would be to actually play on HSAPQ state tournament. One with greater attendance than NAQT "State" last year. That would be the best test of skill. I mean Quick Recall is a good measure and all but honestly it's not pyramidal.
