At Champaign Centennial,

Dwight defeated Normal Community to win the Championship out of the 26 teams that were there.

Carrollton defeated Blue Ridge (Farmer City) to win the consolation bracket.

David Reamer from Dwight was the top scorer for the morning.

On a separate note, congrats to Colby Burnett, coach for Fenwick HS, one of the best moderators in IL who just made it to the semi-finals on the Jeopardy teachers' tournament. He did a great job representing for Illinois quizbowl.

I don't understand our Sectional seeding pairings. We seeded Central number 8 knowing that they would probably be geographically matched with us, and then we seeded Mahomet higher, at 6 because they said they'd travel. Meanwhile, H-F gets the number 4 seed and NO other seeded teams. What a joke.

What would the in-town expense be for people who wanted to go? Surely it would be less than the residential expenses, but since I'm trying to raise funds to send one or two kids on a "scholarship" I'd like to know how much money to raise.
