Re: ANCHORMAN: Richard Montgomery Autumn Novice (10/6/12)

Longfellow A vs. WJ in round 8 has 200 Tossups listed rather than 20.

Overall I think RM did a really nice job with the tournament and keeping things moving well. The set had some serious editing issues, but that is not really RM's fault.

Re: Fall Novice @ St. Anselm's Abbey School (10/22/11)

If this were a normal tournament where we could better predict the teams' abilities, I might go with 7 brackets of four. Then take the top team in each bracket and one wild card based on the tiebreaking statistic of your choice into two brackets of four for a round-robin. Then take the top two from...

Re: Attracting more teams to the DC circuit

Our morning (7 games, including a crossover) was three games we had no chance in (Whitman, St. Anselm's and QO), two that were or should have been competitive (RM B and Blair B), one that we should have dominated (Landon B) and one that I have no idea on (Oakland Hills who stomped us but didn't do ...

(*EDIT: WOW this is really long, sorry*) I can speak to this a little bit from one of the teams that has fallen off this year. Yeah, it'd be two evenly-matched playoff brackets, with cross-bracket placement games to determine 1st through 12th places after the five playoff rounds. Will there also be a consolation bracket in some format so that the teams that do not finish 1-12 get some afternoon games as well? I assume so, ...

My understanding is that DC is part of the Maryland state for this purpose (although I may be mistaken, but I tried to get into the VA states last year and was told we were part of Maryland).
