Re: Kentucky 08-09

Unfortunately, I can't go to the KAAC camp or any ACE camps this summer. Seeing as I'm missing them for GSP, though, I think it's a pretty even trade. :p

Re: Kentucky 08-09

We try to go to as many tournaments as we can afford, be they in or out of state. Pikeville played in both Vanderbilt and Brookwood this year. IIRC Johnson does occasionally go out of state, but don't hold me to that. I for one would love to play in more Quizbowl-style tournaments as opposed to our....

I imagine we'll be at Vandy this fall. It's one of the few tournaments we make a point to go to (boo lack of funds!). Brookwood we may or may not go to, seeing as it's on the same weekend as the JV Challenge and quite a few of our Varsity players are sophomores this coming year.

Faiyad from JCHS got second in the science tournament, I believe, with Jack getting third in lit and myself getting second. Brad from JCHS made it to the final 10 in the social studies (...

Re: Kentucky 08-09

Well, Shikha and I were on the Derby Challenge team this spring. You're probably talking about Shikha if she was getting the science and math, ha. She is good, and probably will be better once she gets a little more experience. We had a young team this past year.

Re: Kentucky 08-09

What about any upcoming freshmen? As far as Pikeville goes, I think we may have only had two eighth graders for middle school, though it's possible they'll stick with it through high school.
