IFT Mirror @ Stanford (11/17/12)

This event is designed as an easier tournament in the vein of ACF Fall or MUT, so we hope to see both new and established circuit teams come out. This event is schedule...

The palladium tossup probably saw more than its share of "platinum" negs--it said something towards the end that I heard as "this element is the most common in fuel cell catalysts," which I think might actually be unambiguously platinum rather than palladium. "Most fuel cel...

This is kind of a goofy idea, but is there a large public area where you can just sit down, plug in a buzzer, and play for an hour or two? Over the summer when we couldn't practice in our normal spot, we'd do this, and it'd regularly attract the interest of random folks nearby, who then would someti...

For what it's worth, I didn't think the music questions were too top heavy at all. I was able to confidently buzz a few times early on knowledge I gained independently of qb, and when I was buzzing in the middle, I felt like it was on clues I'd heard come up several times before. The question wasn't...

Two can play at the analogy game! So, at Cornell, we have a quite excellent double-bass player from the local high school who plays in one of the university orchestras.
