Re: Announcement: QuAC I at Penn (11/22/08), Phila., PA

As far as TJ's performance goes, we repeated our time-honored tradition of this year of losing to Gov within a one-tossup margin, and much to the dismay of Joe the Plumber, we "spread the wealth around" points-wise; my teammates contributed quite a bit to our finish this time. A sign of t...

Maggie Walker A ranked 166th in the country, closely following TJ A ranked 156th...in other news, I now predict Alabama School for Fine Arts A will sweep NAQT and PACE this year! (this is certain as they have wins over national powerhouses like LAMP A and Arab!)

Just kidding, GB. But seriously, try to attend a good house written tournament if you want to get the full experience of good quizbowl. Because, in my opinion, house written tournaments are usually better than IS-sets.

Re: 2008 QU NAC discussion and comment

That's sort of like the teams that you run across in Byko rankings who are really high up because they've played 5 games of VHSL or some other state competition and won all of them. It's really hard to judge with such a small sample size. I'd be interested to actually see this team in competition. ...

But sometimes Tommy will put up 100 points in one game, and 0 in the next. Its the same for pretty mu...
