Well, not quite.... I have no idea who won the final. But I can tell you for sure it wasn't Hammond nor Perry Hall. Both of us lost in the semis. Dulaney won the first match, and Parkville defeated us in the second match. Although Parkville was good, I would imagine Centennial won. But that's merely...

Perry Hall should definitely be a good contender this coming year. Hammond's first round is with Atholton and Glenelg for an all Howard County opener. We tape November 18, and I believe it airs the second Saturday in January. A few of the teams we beat last year, including Perry Hall, Parkville, and...

RESULTS: Green Eggs & Hammond (1/06/07 - Columbia,MD)

The 8th Annual Green Eggs and Hammond Tournament will be held once again on the first Saturday of January, January 6, 2007. Tournament style is all conferring all the time, with shared categories like we've done for the last 6 years. Lots of tossups, no bonuses, and one round of individual questions...

What an amazing finish to a great tournament. Having lost to RM in the It's Academic championship a few weeks ago, I had a feeling they would show the rest of the country what they had been able to do all year. What hasn't been said so far, I'll add that RM was behind most of the second game, but wa...

Unfortunately, Hammond just couldn't figure out a way to beat RM to the buzzer. Jeffrey and the Chris's made a good adjustment to Zahren in the Superbowl--I think they were thrown off a bit by him in the DC finals, and figured out his timing for our match. Chris' anticipation was simply inhuman. The...

Thanks for the comments. Perry Hall certainly came to play.

You're right about that visual round. I think they scored 7 of the 10. And the Georgia O'Keefe question was just ridiculously fast.

We're going to be practicing our butts off this week--should be an awesome superbowl.

Hammond emerged victorious yesterday in the Baltimore Championship, defeating Parkville and Perry Hall--two very strong teams made up mostly of juniors who will certainly be contenders next year. The visual round proved to be the deciding factor as Hammond zapped most of the questions, then held on ...
