Dr. McNellen,
You should probably edit your subject to say (MS-32) or you may have teams attending the DCC tournament think they can't come.

Re: M.S. Math - how to improve?

Can I ask what the format is? I know that my students excel in questions about mathematical knowledge, but our extended curriculum doesn't do a lot of drill-and-kill. So we routinely get beaten on math computation questions unless I happen to have a speed merchant on the team. Our conference uses IE...

Well, binomial list association of writers and titles can get you points when a question is otherwise about to go dead. But you're never taking the next step without going deeper.

Thanks, Iain. Perhaps leadership with the ABT should have some sort of guide/manual/checklist that they pass on to the new leadership when they graduate. It'd make it easier whenever there's a transition so that the new guys don't have to re-learn everything. Just a thought.

I've long maintained that pairing TU/bonuses usually has the unintended consequence of having MORE bonuses in categories where the toss-up is missed, since writers strive to ask about something other than the TU category. So, in a 24 TU match, if 4 math TU go dead because both teams are weak at math...
