Loyola regional looks decent ... unfortunately, Loyola/Fenwick are two of the 4 best teams in the sectional, and one will have to go down.

Overall, the North/West suburb sectional is not what it was last year ...

Coaches get together and examine record, stregnth of schedule, PPG, etc to evaluate the best 32 teams in the state. Any coach whose team wishes to be considered must be present at the meeting. My coach told us that at Fenwick they will be grouping the six top teams (I'm assuming WN, NT, Libertyville, Fenwick, St. Iggy, & OPRF). Which gives an entirely new meaning to the name "bloodbath"

The fact that one of either Maine South or New Trier isn't going to Peoria already sees the state finals losing credibility. Apparently St. Ignatius is now in Sub-Sectional A (i.e. the one with OPRF, Fenwick, etc.) of the New Trier sectional. Well, looks like that's settled...not only does sub-sectional A have 15 (!) teams in it, but the NT sectional is as strong as it was last year, Marist is as weak as it was last year...
