I know. You think that they could figure out a way to do it better.

Good tournament today. Kudos to New Trier for a well-run and executed tournament, even though I still dislike that cats question.

We, WN, left before the tournament ended due to bad weather and I believe some other teams as well. Any Carmel people here?

I also thought the questions were very good and the tournament was very well run. Thanks for putting it all together.

It is going to be a hard, but fun time this year. I, and the rest of the WN team, am really looking forward to it.

Illinois '07-'08

I see that other threads have been created, so I thought that Illinois shouldn't be left out.

As for next year, I think that Illinois Scholastic Bowl is going to be very active and fun and I look forward to facing many of the great teams in our state.

So, how did other Illinois teams fare at NAQT today? WN went 6-4, which included a sad 3-in-a-row losing streak. I heard that the other Illinois teams were up there too. Some person was scoffing at the idea of all of the teams from one state advancing. Ha.

I do not mean to be confrontational, but I just felt that the situation needed clarifying. I see that the Code of Ethics has not yet been ratified, so I guess no standing rules were violated. I just felt it was a situation that should have been handled differently. I do not mean to "call out&qu...

I'd like to bring up an issue that recently surfaced at our Masonic Sectional tournament. Our team answered a math question in a certain form that was not accepted by the moderator, even though it was correct. The team facing us, Fenwick, knew it was right, but they did not voice a protest, even tho...

I guess I should introduce myself as well. I'm Jonathan from WN and decided to actually start posting as well. It's fortunate that there is a body like this to discuss and still poke fun at certain ScoBowl events and questions.
