QBReader AI??
A new mode came out for QBReader. I had very high expectations, thinking that the AI would train you by repeating questions you didn't quite get or something like that. But it is much worse. The only options are: the AI buzzing right after power, or it buzzing randomly. Now the first one is bad ...

It's that time of the year again..
River Trail A beat Sycamore A
Was this unexpected? And what do you think the quiz bowl scene will look like next year?
And what are your predictions? I know it's super early, but I want to know what you think.

Re: Faster with Math
Most comp math are simple logic, but they ask frequently about two roots and y=mx+b Also know Sohcahtoa, sine=opposite/hypotenuse cosine=adjacent/h tangent=o/a Also c = pi x d, a = pi x r^2 for circle And permutations are always factorials, which is represented as x! Factorial multiplies number x ...

Re: Stalling & Rushing
There have only been two times in my coaching career where my team attempted a "skip all" on a bonus in order to get a new tossup/bonuses cycle in before the clock ran out. In both cases, it was deep in the playoffs of an NAQT National tournament and in both cases the moderator was so stunned that ...

Re: Stalling & Rushing
I heard a story where a team at Nationals was down 10. They heard the lead-in (I believe it was on FDR's cabinet) and skipped all. With 3 seconds left, they powered and won by 5. Wow. And also, I usually go 7 seconds because the moderator might take some time putting in scores, or other stuff ...

Stalling & Rushing
I just wanted to talk about stalling & rushing and know if I have the best strat. What my coach sometimes does is "chase-downs", where my team has 60 seconds to win over a 60 point deficit. The strategy I have formed for rushing is: - Skip obscure bonuses - Take risks, especially take risks if you ...

1) Protobowl. There are private and public servers for you to practice on. It doesn't always give the best questions, but playing it a lot for maybe 3 months will get you accustomed to the Canon. QBReader is better. I also sometimes feel like the two don't help since rereading it helps stamp it out ...

Wow I haven't been here in a while But there is nothing wrong with clock stalling or rushing, at least I don't see. Even my coach sometimes practices "chase-downs", where in 60 seconds, my team and I have to get 60 points to match or beat the other team, since we start down 60. Sometimes we play ...

Well it really depends. Once, at a state tournament, my team stalled the bonus in a tight match with like 30 seconds left. If you need more time, you could interrupt or skip a bonus if you know you are not going to get it.

I would definitely suggest Ankis. I also have a geography game on my phone that helps with capitals, border outline, location, etc. For science, try researching specific topics (earth science, quantum physics, etc.) and also things like reading science books gradually helps you.

Protobowl has issues.
QBReader isn't very good.
And I need a reliable source where I can study efficiently. Do you guys have any ideas?

Credit will be given with usernames. Maybe a private forum can be made to make these and they could be played on a tournament. I don't wanna get ahead of myself, though.

By audio, I also mean audio chat, like on protobowl. Also, multiplayer adds a demographic unlike anything else, with its advanced chat system and teams. To all quiz bowlers,
I propose a new protobowl, called BuzzUp.
This will have a interface with stats, rooms, leaderboards, and others. Also, moderation similar to protobowl that actually works and new questions.
Other ideas are greatly accepted.

In my opinion, science is cardable but shouldn't. You should use the tree method. You study one part of science thoroughly and read articles and books, and watch videos on it.
