Potential downtime in December/early January

I'm going to be updating the forum software sometime in the next few weeks when I have the time. The forums will be down for ~15-20 minutes when this happens. This will likely be late at night Pacific Standard Time.

Re: Collegiate Quizbowl opportunities and/or advice for a potential new team in Colorado

UC Boulder used to have a team, although I don't know if it's active any longer. Colorado is sadly pretty isolated when it comes to the collegiate circuit. I'd look for online tournaments. Boise State or one of the Kansas schools for tournaments would have in-person tournaments that would be the clo...

This is really cool! It's great seeing the amount of progress being made in this area. One suggestion I'd make is to make it clearer what "Score" refers to in the clue generator, specifically what value a good score for a clue should have.

I really enjoyed this article, it's great to see the data challenge long-held assumptions about difficulty distinguishing better between teams. I guess the ICT/Nats comparison covers some of this, but I wonder if powers or 0-point negs affects the number of upsets.

I've made a website where you can upload a docx packet (or zip file of docx packets) for parsing. Click here to visit it. If you have any comments or suggestions, let me know.

Note: I do not store the packets on the server nor can I see what gets parsed.
